Recent airstrikes attributed to Ukraine have resulted in multiple casualties in the Russian regions of Belgorod and Tatarstan. In Belgorod, at least five people are reported dead and 25 others injured due to one attack, though the exact number of injured varies among sources, with some reports citing up to 13 people affected in total. This attack has notably struck a building located near the regional headquarters of the Russian security service, although Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for it.

Meanwhile, in Tatarstan, reports indicate that at least 13 people have lost their lives and 39 others have been injured following a drone attack targeting a oil refinery in the city of Nizhnekamsk. Local authorities stated that the targets of the attack included both industrial and civilian facilities, raising concerns about the impact of such operations on the civilian population.

The mayor of Nizhnekamsk commented that the attacks had devastating consequences and that victims were among the debris of a burned building, thereby updating the casualty figures. At the same time, Russian forces announced having shot down a large number of drones in various areas, totaling 153 aircraft, although it is not specified whether this is related to the aforementioned attacks.

Reports have been published by several international media outlets, including Infobae and El Comercio, which have confirmed the death and injury tolls in both incidents. These attacks are part of the escalation of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which has involved an increase in hostilities in recent weeks.

Kiev, for its part, has not issued official statements regarding the recent attacks, leading to speculation about its strategy. Despite the lack of acknowledgment, the use of drones and air strikes has intensified in various areas, affecting both military and civilian targets, which raises concerns about the potential collateral damage they could cause.

As the situation unfolds, the international community continues to monitor these events closely. While Russian authorities respond to the attacks, the implications for regional security and relations between the involved countries remain in focus.
