Technical issues at Rostelekom cause major internet outage in Runet
Yesterday, a comprehensive outage affected numerous users and applications in the Runet due to technical problems at Rostelekom.
Yesterday, the Russian internet, known as Runet, experienced a significant outage that affected many popular online services and banking applications. According to CNews, the technical difficulties were due to issues in the network infrastructure of Rostelekom.
According to iXBT.com, the problems lasted about 29 minutes, during which traffic was redirected to emergency equipment to quickly restore connectivity. Afterwards, the network of Rostelekom returned to normal operation.
