Sourav Ganguly and Wife Receive Death Threat Letters; Police Investigate

Sourav Ganguly, the former president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and former Indian cricket captain, has reported receiving death threat letters over the past six months. Although the letters were initially disregarded, a formal complaint was lodged recently, prompting police involvement.

According to reports, Ganguly's secretary approached the Thakurpukur police station to file the complaint, leading to an official investigation by the Kolkata Police. The letters allegedly contained explicit threats against Ganguly and his family.

The police are currently working to uncover the source and motive behind these communications. Their investigation includes examining courier trails and tracking a mobile number associated with the letters to identify the sender and ensure the safety of Ganguly and his wife.
