Om Birla Urges Opposition to End Parliamentary Logjam

On Monday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called on the Opposition to cooperate with the government to facilitate the smooth conduct of parliamentary proceedings. This appeal comes after the government proposed a debate on student issues, highlighted by a response from Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized that the Opposition cannot dictate which minister ought to address the House. This statement was made during the ongoing logjam in Parliament, which has hindered discussions and proceedings. According to reports, both the Speaker and the Home Minister sought to find a resolution to the stalemate.
