Syria: Two dead and several injured in explosion near Damascus
An explosion in a suburb of Damascus has claimed at least two lives and injured 14 others, including three in critical condition.

In a suburb of Damascus, Jaramana, a bomb exploded, killing at least two people. Syrian state media reported that 14 others were injured, three of whom are in critical condition.
The explosion occurred in a minibus, leading to confusion regarding the number of casualties. While initially two deaths were reported, the Syrian Ministry of Health later indicated a higher number of injured individuals.
An inquiry has been initiated to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify possible perpetrators. A government representative has not yet commented publicly on the matter.

Given the overall security situation in Syria, such violence is not uncommon. There are frequent attacks that affect both civilians and security forces.
The situation in Syria remains tense, particularly in areas around Damascus, where sporadic attacks continue to be a daily occurrence.
