Conmebol suspends Libertadores and Sudamericana matches in Colombia
Conmebol has decided to suspend all Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana matches scheduled this week in Colombia following a devastating earthquake.
The South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) suspended the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana matches that were scheduled for this week in Colombia. This decision came shortly after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake shook much of the country.
The quake has had a significant impact, causing at least 132 fatalities so far. Therefore, Conmebol deemed it necessary to cancel the matches to ensure the safety of those involved.
