Cleansing of electrical project in Chile after DiCaprio's appeal
The actor raised concerns for the Pehuenche frog, whose habitat is at risk.

A major electrical project in Chile has been halted following an appeal from actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The initiative was set to threaten the habitat of the spiny-chested frog, a rare species.
DiCaprio stated that the project could push the Pehuenche frog "to the brink of extinction," thus creating a strong mobilization to protect the animal and its environment.
