The Chief Minister has mandated a fresh investigation into the RG Kar rape-murder case at the request of the victim's mother, a BJP MLA.
Bengal's Chief Minister, Suvendu Adhikari, has ordered a fresh probe into the rape and murder case of R.G. Kar. This decision was made following a request from the victim's mother, Ratna Debnath, who is now a BJP Member of the Legislative Assembly.
Adhikari directed the Commissioner of Police in Barrackpore to investigate the circumstances surrounding the cremation of the victim's body, which reportedly occurred without the family's consent.
In recent memorial events, Debnath addressed the gathering, highlighting her concerns regarding the case and the actions taken by certain individuals affiliated with the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The Chief Minister's order to investigate has drawn attention to the handling of this sensitive case.
