Bart Lemmen finishes fifth in Tour of Poland

Bart Lemmen missed out on the overall victory in the Tour of Poland, finishing in fifth place in the general classification. The rider from Team Visma-Lease a Bike lost his leader position to Christian Scaroni, who took over the yellow jersey.

After a strong week in which Lemmen secured his first professional victory in the fourth stage, he wore the leader's jersey until the final time trial took place on Sunday.

In this time trial, Lemmen was unable to maintain his position as a title contender, and eventually had to watch as Marco Brenner from Team Tudor claimed the overall win.

Stefan Küng, also from Tudor, won the final stage, contributing to a double victory for his team in the classification.

The loss was disappointing for Lemmen, who had hoped to close out the Tour of Poland with an overall victory following a successful race.
